Happy birthday to me...

Today I'm 34. And that's probably about as many minutes as I've worked uninterrupted by festivities. :) Today's been one continuous celebration full of presents, flowers, cards, emails, comments, ecards, phone calls, lunch, hugs and the like just to point out in shiny rainbow crayola colors just how many freakishly wonderful people I have in my life. I am one crazy-lucky chick, that's for sure.

It's still a couple of hours before the time I was born and already this birthday has wiped the faces of my last two birthdays in the dirt. :)

Meekay started feeling better yesterday so we headed out for a bite at the Gypsy Saloon (using a $25 dining certificate I got for $4 on restaurant.com wahoo! and thank you L for turning me on to them!) and out to the movies to see Catch a Fire (sooo good...do go see that). Tonight trying Dahlak for the first time. Mmmm. Eritrean food. Apparently this birthday is a pan-African celebration. :)

Feline update: Still no incidents! Simulated pheromones seem to be working. We've noticed an increase in ball-licking escapades, so I think he must be feeling alright and is having perhaps a little too much fun for a cat who's had the Big Snip.
