Feb 21, 2006. The weekend that was

2006-02-21 - 2:38 p.m.

The house was full of laughter.
The food was amazing.
The wine was flowing.
The lessons were excellent.
The knives were sliding.
The chocolate...well, it was chocolate and that says enough.
The sleep was fits and starts.
The house was still glowing.
The plans were impromptu.
The road was smooth.
The radio was amazing (yeah, I know. It surprised me, too.).
The nephews were giggling.
The sleep came late.
The dreams were foreign.
The morning was relaxed.
The cousins were together.
The hug was like home.
The heart...it soared, then broke, then achieved some sort of state at which it could continue.
The head was full and the road was dark.
The sleep was late and not lightly shaken.
The day was calm and movies and reading and small, homey tasks.
The sleep was brief but solidly back in the now.
