Dashed home, wrangled a collective 25 pounds of cats into their respective carriers, tried to ignore the fresh scratches on my hand from said wrangling, listened to the chorus of howling, meowing and rooowwwrrrring from the back of the car, hauled their heavy butts into the vet and within 20 minutes had spent enough for a plane ticket about anywhere this side of the Mississippi.
