Center City Gallery Night

2006-04-22 - 3:23 p.m.

A cosmopolitan washed away a long day. 20 feet set off across Rittenhouse square and popped in and out of galleries where there was wine to be had, cheese, laughs, conversation and...oh, yes! art too. Found a new painter to follow. Life is good. However the manager of Pietro's Coal Oven Pizza is bad...he apparently lied to us about our reservation for dinner so now 12 people* will say bad things about how we were treated and we had to find someplace else that could seat such a gaggle on a Friday night. Sandwiches and drinks at Cosi did the trick.

Next up we hit a bar so hip there's no sign outside. The peoplewatching and music were great. It was loungey and fun and had swanky cocktails. We got talking about how we define who is in or out of "our league" and just what that means. And we swapped secrets of flirting body language. One guy wasn't previously aware of the popping-the-hip-out maneuver that accentuates curves and drops the female's height down a bit so she's looking up at the guy. That one was promptly illustrated by several unknowing contestants in our observations. * no, that doesn't mean people were missing feet. Our numbers kept swelling through the evening.
