Twist on a meme

2005-12-14 - 10:02 a.m.

So I've seen a lot of folks doing the meme in which you list the first sentence of the first entry of each month for this year. Instead, I decided to do something just a little different. I pulled out the title of each month's first entry and then had to string them together into prose, in order. It sounds rather like a bad high school poem, but that kind of cracked me up, so here it is, with the titles in bold:

Sometimes you have to take a day off before you start disappearing a little at a time. You find yourself finding too much time spent listening to the prayers of the heathens, calling the shots and declaring the score now child 1, parent 1. In retaliation, child may be smited just because parent decides, I want action.

Somedays you feel like a stowaway in the world of words. If timing is everything as they say, it isnt the time for you to spin the turn of a quotable phrase. Words are their own reward and youre merely bringing home the non-chocolate-filled pseudo-silver these days.

With OCD-like tendencies, you count down everything that you do. 10 steps, 19 clicks, 346 up, 1811 down. It never ends and all you can think at the end of the year is how its actually December already augh. The cold looms long and you tally the days degree by degree.

Silly, but fun.

And if you haven't done it yet, take a second to answer the quick To Call or Not To Call Survey. :-)

Pretend it's 10th grade. Leave me a note.
