When the fascination of lo mein just isn't enough 2004-08-05 - 3:45 p.m. The toddler in the Chinese restaurant last night was bored. Mere lo mein could not hold her interest. She grew bored of her little car that made the loud crackly noises and all the little books her parents occasionally shoved in front of her in half-attempts to keep her quiet, while they didn't even look in her direction. When she gave up on the food and toys she turned to the entertainment her own voice contains. She began to make such a noise, with such enthusiasm, at ever-increasing decibels and feverishness. This ended up sounding horribly like a toddler version of a shrieking pornorgasm. Let me assure you, that's a sound you just don't need to hear while you're trying to study and eat. Pretend it's 10th grade.
