a cruel welcome

Got back from California Monday night and drove home from the airport in wet SNOW. Now what sort of cruel welcome back is that?!
Luckily, things picked up from there. I got home, got wrangled into furry affection with the lonesome kitty, and headed straight for a hot shower. When I got out, the bf was downstairs in the kitchen with a bottle of gorgeous champagne chilled, making up a feast of smoked salmon, cheese, veggies and crackers. Gave us time for a wonderful catchup, cozied up on the couch, getting spoiled beyond all reason.�
