Gravy update

Gravy update: Not that anyone was waiting with baited breath or anything, but the gravy seems to have worked. Want to try it on some potatoes or something instead to get the full effect, but tasting from the spoon seems to indicate success.

Olive oil, minced onions, black pepper and mushrooms til all carmelizing, whole wheat flour to get it pasty, whir in blender with some veggie broth and red wine. Back to the pan, soy sauce it up, and keep whisking in broth and wine til it tastes good and is the right consistency.

The opera was great. Beautiful music, very funny. And a killer late-night dinner afterwards.

Weekend was mostly homework, errands, laundry and all sortsa have-tos. Loads more homework this week. Ew.

The holidays are looming like a maniacal Macy's parade balloon.
