a party isn't a party til...

A party just isn't a party 'til the first ambulance arrives on the scene.

Yup, champagne and a stretcher, alright. That was my big event yesterday.

Yet it was still a huge success. The program was great. The videos I'd had made were wonderful. The only real dorktastic moment was when one started playing a minute before it was supposed to, but it at least started the program off with a laugh anyway, so fine.

Slipped out partway through to start putting out the beer and wine and pouring champagne French sparkling wine. A coworker emerged from the program, looking dazed and in pain and collapsed to the ground. She'd apparently only had grapes for lunch and the room got pretty hot, so down she went. Luckily she was okay afterwards and we happened to have a doctor and nurse there, so she was attended to immediately. One of the perks in working in my business, there's often medical attention nearby when you need it.
