My brain has gone on strike. It's decided that I've hit my productivity limit for the day and is taking the rest of the afternoon off. Unfortunately the body still needs to stay at work for a while longer yet.

So that means you get to bear the brunt of my randomness. Poor suckers.

This weekend, Meekay decided that the proper name for mobile mammogram units would be the Mammogramovan. Hee. (Meekay, I googled and it doesn't appear anywhere. I think you need to trademark that sucker)

Another quote from our weekend, "Oh my, I believe your pants are singing."

Kudos to L for her fabulous recommendation to doctor up my plain vegetable-lentil soup with some coconut milk, curry and basmati rice. Turned it into a way more satisfying meal. Gorgeous.

I finally finished Mary Lawson's The Other Side of the Bridge this weekend. Good book, but I did prefer Crow Lake. At least her sophomore effort didn't disappoint (and didn't turn out to be sophomoric).

Good movies we've seen in the last few days: Casino Royale, Serenity, Babel, and an encore viewing of Galaxy Quest (which cracks me up). Unfortunately we balanced all that high-quality viewing with a screening of one of the worst movies I've ever seen, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Holy gorram, who thought that was actually a good idea? Meekay was determined to try to stomach it to the end (fascination for the level of horribleness? a test of endurance? I cannot say). I dozed in and out a few times. No surprise that I missed nothing on plot by doing so. Felt like my eyeballs needed a good scrubbing out after having watched that.

Mere minutes now til leaving time to head out to Drinking Liberally. Hurrah!
