feels like spring

2005-02-07 - 10:44 a.m.

What an utterly random weekend.

Fun evening hanging out with a friend Friday night.

Entirely too much algebra. I got a "beginning algebra" book from my physical therapist. It looks more like a metropolitan yellow pages. It includes MATH ERRORS*, which I consider to be rather bad form for a math text. I've covered over 200 pages of it so far (not even half); at least it is a quick study, but soon I will have to switch over to the real-deal, smaller textbook that I think will be more to the level of my exam. Still, the dumbed-down book is useful since it's at least making me feel like I may actually be able to do this.

Saturday night was dinner and a show with friends. Cat's just getting better and better; love her new material and the band is getting smooooth.

Sunday more studying and then got to play out in the sun for a bit. Had lunch and a wander with M and her friend down in Manayunk. Washed my car and hit the books again. B invited me over to his neighbor's for the superbowl and, since the variables were beginning to dance on the pages in front of me, I decided what the heck. Had fun despite the results of the game, stepping in shit, and discovering that somebody hit my car and dinged the front of my hood.

Took a script to bed, intending to read half of it, but barely made it to page 7 before I began to lose consciousness.

*and absolutely NO monkey porn, darn it all.

(very linky today for some reason. My apologies for completely overloading the word "neighbor")

Pretend it's 10th grade. Leave me a note.
